COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

SCIENCE FUTURES WEEK AT RUNSHAW COLLEGE

JUNE 24

Last month, MHLS had the privilege of participating in Runshaw College’s Science Futures Week. An event that featured engaging workshops and lectures for A Level and BTEC Science students by local employers from the life sciences, tech and infrastructure industries.

The turnout was fantastic, with students signing up in advance for the sessions they were most interested in, ensuring our audience were genuinely engaged and eager to learn. By connecting students with industry experts, Runshaw College is paving the way for future scientists and surveyors, fostering a community of curious and motivated learners ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow.

During our session, we introduced students to the world of land and geospatial surveying through interactive presentations and practical demonstrations showcasing the latest equipment and technology. We also discussed various career options within the surveying industry, hopefully providing valuable insights and advice. For further information on a career in Land Surveying see our short guide here.
