Land & Measured Building Surveyors

Scotland

The Requirements:

• At least five years’ experience, two years of which have been in the UK

• Degree or similar in surveying or a related field

• Good AutoCAD skills

• High standard in the quality of work

• Very good level of English

• Customer-focused

• Self-motivated

• Driving licence.

Optional but advantageous:

• Skills in working with Carlson Survey, Trimble Realworks

• Member of ICES or RICS

• Rail experience.

Utility Mapping Surveyor

Malcolm Hughes Land Surveyors are looking for an experienced Utility Mapping Surveyor to join the UK’s leading survey company.

The Requirements:

Utility Surveyor

Malcolm Hughes Land Surveyors are looking for an experienced utility mapping surveyor to join their long-established practice and help the company’s continuing success.

The successful candidate will be based in Rugby or Sale and will have the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy with strong communication, negotiating and presentation skills, and be able to work as part of a dynamic, driven team.

You will conduct quality work throughout the UK. This exciting opportunity will expose you to a variety of projects, where you will be expected to complete all aspects of the fieldwork using the latest survey techniques and instrumentation

Main duties and responsibilities are to:

• Liaise with the Survey Manager and Data Processing Manager
• Check functionality of tooling and equipment
• Carry out field work in your own right
• Carry out and complete QA on your own work
• Help to devise new working methods.

Skills required:

• To be competent in all utility mapping survey techniques
• A competent user of all survey instrumentation – EML, GPR etc.
• Basic knowledge of 2D / 3D AutoCAD and survey processing: knowledge of post-processing GPR data would be an advantage.
• Must hold a driving licence.

Salary:

• Dependent on level of experience and qualifications.

Malcolm Hughes Land Surveyors are looking for an experienced Land & Measured Building Surveyor to join their long-established practice and help the company’s continuing success.

The successful candidates will be based in Rugby and Sale and will have the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, with strong communication, negotiating and presentation skills and be able to work as part of a dynamic, driven team.

You will conduct quality work throughout the UK including Topographical Surveys, Measured Building Surveys and Laser Scanning.

CAD Operator

Sale / Livingston / Rugby / Swansea

An experienced CAD technician is required, with knowledge of land / measured building and utility surveys required. The use of SCC/N4CE would be an advantage, and the ability to work with point cloud data (including registration) will be looked on favourably.

This role entails a 40-hour week with 20 days’ annual leave allowance plus additional 12 days’ flexible leave, along with the option to earn extra through overtime. Salary commensurate with experience.
