Malcolm Hughes successfully passes RISQS 2025-26 Audit with Expanded Approval

Malcolm Hughes is pleased to confirm that we have successfully passed the RISQS Audit for the 2025–2026 period, with accreditation valid until 22 December 2026. In addition, our RISQS Verification has been renewed until 25 April 2026.

This year’s audit represents a significant step forward for the business. Unlike previous assessments, the 2025–2026 RISQS Audit formally approves a wider and more advanced range of technical service areas, strengthening our position as a trusted supplier to the UK rail industry.

Expanded Technical Scope

The latest audit confirms approval across multiple service codes, including: Specialist site services, intrusive and non-intrusive works, scour investigations, geotechnical monitoring installation.

For the first time, the RISQS Audit also confirms CDM compliance, providing additional assurance around our health, safety, competence, and management arrangements for rail projects. This reinforces our commitment to operating safely and compliantly within complex rail environments.

What this means for our clients

The outcome of the 2025–2026 audit significantly strengthens our operational capability on rail infrastructure projects and our compliance and assurance profile. Clients can be confident that Malcolm Hughes continues to meet, and now exceed, the requirements expected of accredited rail suppliers.

A big thank you to everyone involved in achieving this result. The successful outcome reflects the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork across the business, and our continued commitment to improving standards year on year. Read our recent Rail case studies here
